Chyawan Prash is a best formulation mainly for cough and respiratory diseases. Chyawan Prash increases the growth in diseased, old persons and children. Chyawan Prash improves the conditions in the Cardiac Diseases, Gastric Diseases, Urinary Track Diseases, Sexual impotence. The quantity of Chyawan Prash should be taken accordingly so that it doesn’t suppress anger.
According to Charak Samhita, “ The Chyawan Rishi invented this formulation and became younger after  taking this formulation.”
The name given  ‘Chyawan Prash’ after name of Chyawan Rishi.
Chyawan Prash increases memory power, mental strength, age, nerve strength, body strength, sexual power, immunity and internal body strength.
Chyanwan Prash has been mentioned in number of holy books. Chakishita Kalika, Yog Ratnakar and Charak Samhita are few. There is some difference in formulation in each book. Some has 35,some has 36, some has differ number of herbs. Formulation methods are also differ.

The main ingredient of Chyawan Prash is Amla. Ghee and oil is also used to formulated Chyawan Prash.
